How to store coffee

To preserve the aroma of coffee it is advisable to follow some precautions. It is good to keep the coffee in a sealed vessel to prevent the loss of flavor. Beware the widespread belief that the coffee should be stored in the refrigerator: as reported by the Huffington Post, "If you leave coffee in the refrigerator, it will lose its flavor and assume some of the smells of the food which is stored in the refrigerator. It is advisable to keep the coffee in a fresh, dark place, where it will preserve its flavor and freshness. You can freeze large amounts of coffee in the freezer, though".
Another advice is to buy small amounts of coffee, not to let too much time pass between when the package is opened and its use. To enjoy a cup of coffee like the one you taste at the bar, the trick is to use a coffee grinder and grind the beans every time you want to have a cup of coffee.
